AURORA - The first round of the 2026 CHSAA Boys Volleyball State Championships at Fountain-Fort Carson's Trojan Arena was played Thursday, with the quarterfinal round and elimination bracket matchups set.

Play will begin on Friday, with first-round elimination games at 9 a.m. (4A) and 10:45 a.m. (5A), followed by second-round winner's bracket games at 12:30 p.m. (4A) and 2:15 p.m. (5A). The second round of consolation bracket games follows at 4 p.m. (4A) and 5:45 p.m. (5A).

Each classification has four games scheduled for Saturday, culminating with the 6 p.m. state championship games.

All game times, live scores, matchups and results will be available on the brackets.

In the 4A tournament on Thursday, No. 7 Lutheran knocked off defending champion and No. 2 seed Regis Groff 3-0 (25-20, 25-23, 25-20) and No. 5 Mullen swept No. 4 Pueblo South 3-0 (27-25, 25-23, 25-20). Mullen plays No. 1 D'Evelyn, which beat No. 8 Stargate School 3-0 (25-15, 25-19, 25-18), while Lutheran takes on No. 3 Mountain View, a 3-0 winner (25-22, 25-19, 25-16) over No. 6 Colorado Springs Christian. The second-round winner's bracket matches start at 12:30 p.m.

In the elimination bracket, Stargate School plays Pueblo South, while Regis Groff takes on Colorado Springs Christan. Those matches start at 9 a.m., with the winners advancing to play in the second round at 4 p.m.

In the 5A bracket, the top three seeds advanced, while No. 5 Discovery Canyon topped No. 4 Rampart 3-0 (25-18, 25-23, 25-22). Top-seed Eaglecrest beat No. 8 Castle View 3-1 (19-25, 25-17, 25-14, 25-19) and will take on Discovery Canyon on Friday. Meawhile, No. 2 Littleton Public Schools defeated No. 7 Legacy 3-1 (25-14, 18-25, 25-21, 26-24) and will now play No. 3 Grandview, which defeated No. 6 Douglas County 3-1 (26-24, 21-25, 25-18, 25-22).

The second-round winner's bracket games are scheduled to start at 2:15 p.m. In the elimation matchups set to start at 10:45 a.m., No. 4 Rampart plays No. 8 Castle View, and No. 6 Douglas County takes on No. 7 Legacy. The winners of the first-round elimination matches advance to the second round elimination and play again at 5:45 p.m.
