'NBA The Run' Release Date Unveiled, Steph, KD and Luka Variants in Deluxe Edition of New Video Game

The release date of NBA The Run has been revealed.

The video game will launch on June 9 and also features a deluxe edition that includes rookie variants of Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant and Luka Dončić.

The 3v3 online street basketball game will be available on digital storefronts for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Steam on PC under developer Play By Play Studios.

NBA The Run was first announced in Oct. 2025 and is set to allow players to use NBA stars in several notable streetball locations including California's Venice Beach and New York City's Rucker Park.

Three different game modes will be present at launch including Knockout Squads, Knockout Solos and Knockout Friends. Knockout Squads lets gamers control one player, while Knockout Solos gives control over all three players.

Meanwhile, Knockout Friends is used for the creation of custom private tournaments.

Playtesting the game has already begun on Steam, with another session scheduled for Saturday at 1 p.m. ET.
